Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 6. In the scene’s final lines, Friar Laurence leads Romeo and Juliet to their wedding ceremony, where they will become "two in one" in the eyes of the Church and God. Without considering the consequences, the Friar recklessly marries them in secret and in haste. It is a decision that will come back to haunt him.
