Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 4. Mercutio wonders where the missing Romeo is, and jokes that his absence is caused by his lovesickness for Rosaline. This is dramatic irony, for the audience knows that Romeo is no longer tormented by Rosaline and that his romantic attentions have now turned to Juliet.
