Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 3. Friar Laurence agrees to Romeo’s request to marry him and Juliet. He expresses the hope that their union will end the feud between their families and turn their hated towards each other to love. But in the light of the tragic events that occur as a result, his hasty decision to marry them quickly and in secret will be judged as reckless.
