Sweet soul, take heed,
Take heed of perjury; thou art on thy deathbed.

– William Shakespeare

Othello, Act 5, Scene 2. Othello accuses Desdemona of perjury, after she denies giving to Cassio the handkerchief Othello presented to her. Desdemona’s death is foreshadowed by Othello’s reference to her "deathbed," but when he speaks of her as his "sweet soul," this shows he has conflicting emotions about killing the woman he loves.
