My love doth so approve him,
That even his stubbornness, his cheques, his frowns –
Prithee, unpin me, – have grace and favour in them.

– William Shakespeare

Othello, Act 4, Scene 3. Desdemona still loves Othello even after his verbal abuse of her and striking her in front of a shocked Lodovico. Her affections are so pure and innocent that she even loves him for his faults. This constant and unconditional love – some would say blind love – enables her to forgive Othello’s treatment of her.
