For ’tis most easy
The inclining Desdemona to subdue
In any honest suit: she’s framed as fruitful
As the free elements.

– William Shakespeare

Othello, Act 2, Scene 3. Iago in his soliloquy views Desdemona as easy to persuade and manipulate because of her essential goodness. Using a simile, he compares her generosity to the abundance that exists in nature. Iago sees goodness as a weakness to be exploited, foreshadowing his evil plan to do this with Desdemona and Cassio.
