Othello, Act 2, Scene 3. Iago is describing Desdemona’s influence over her husband. In a metaphor, he says that Othello is "enfetter’d" or shackled to her love and will do whatever she says. Iago is using this situation to encourage Cassio to plead with Desdemona to intercede with Othello to get his lieutenant’s job back. This is all part of his evil plan to suggest an inappropriate relationship between Cassio and Desdemona.
