Othello, Act 2, Scene 1. Iago tells Desdemona that if a woman is beautiful and intelligent, she will use her beauty to get what she wants. He is suggesting that pretty women exploit their good looks to manipulate or attract a partner. This is said in the context of some banter about women, but it speaks to Iago’s sexist attitude towards women.
