King Lear, Act 5, Scene 3. When Goneril mocks Regan about her hopes of winning Edmund’s love, Regan says that she’s not feeling well, otherwise she would respond with her full temper. What she doesn’t know is that she has been poisoned by Goneril. Regan then declares that she is making Edmund her lord and master.
