Relent, sweet Hermia: and, Lysander, yield
Thy crazed title to my certain right.

– William Shakespeare

A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act 1, Scene 1. In his first lines in the play, Demetrius shows how he truly feels about Hermia. He doesn’t mention love but instead claims his "right" to her hand in marriage. Even though he knows that Hermia doesn’t love him back – she loves Lysander – he is still determined to marry her.
