Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3. Shrewd financial advice from Polonius to his son Laertes. He cautions Laertes to neither lend to nor borrow money from a friend, because it will cost him both friend and money. Besides borrowing makes people reckless with money, Polonius adds.
