To Kill a Mockingbird, Chapter 8. Miss Maudie yells this when she sees Jem’s snowman creation. Morphodite is a slang term for a person with male and female reproductive organs. When Atticus asked Jem to alter the snowman because it looked like neighbor Mr. Avery, he changed it to resemble Miss Maudie.
