The Odyssey, Book 23, lines 140-145. Telemachus pledges loyalty to his father, when the supporters of the dead suitors come looking for them. He acknowledges Odysseus as being unequalled in battle tactics and cunning. But he won’t be wanting in courage in the battle with the suitors’ families, he says.
