"I can’t say no grace like I use’ ta say. I’m glad of the holiness of breakfast. I’m glad there’s love here. That’s all."

– John Steinbeck

The Grapes of Wrath, Chapter 8. Jim Casy says this when he sits down with the Joad family for breakfast and Granma asks him to say grace. Though Casy goes into a long explanation of his new secular and spiritual awakening and how he is no longer, a preacher, he agrees to say grace.
