This fellow’s wise enough to play the fool,
And to do that well craves a kind of wit.

– William Shakespeare

Twelfth Night, Act 3, Scene 1. Viola (as Cesario) is at the home of Olivia to speak on behalf of Orsino, and Feste mocks Orsino’s love for Olivia. Viola says this line after Feste exists, commenting on how he plays the fool. She sees Feste’s performance as an act, that he is wearing the disguise of a fool but that there is a wise and witty person behind the fooling.
