Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire,
I do wander everywhere
Swifter than the moon’s sphere
And I serve the Fairy Queen
To dew her orbs upon the green.

– William Shakespeare

A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act 2, Scene 1. The fairy replies with this poem to Puck’s question about where she is going. She tells how she travels over hills and valleys, through bushes and briers, water and fire, to serve Fairy Queen Titania by decorating the grass with dewdrops. The fairy travels faster than the moon revolves around the earth.
