Othello, Act 1, Scene 1. In his attempt to provoke Brabantio to attack Othello, Iago describes the sex between his daughter Desdemona and Othello as if it were something beastial and ugly. In an animal metaphor he compares their lovemaking to "making the beast with two backs." Iago’s racial prejudice against Othello is evident here.
