Othello, Act 2, Scene 3. Cassio unwittingly sets himself up to be fired as Othello’s lieutenant, when he tells Iago that he cannot handle his alcohol and needs to moderate the amount he consumes. Iago uses this knowledge to get Cassio drunk so that he becomes involved in a brawl. This line foreshadows the fight that will break out between Cassio and Roderigo.
