Love goes toward love, as schoolboys from their books,
But love from love, toward school with heavy looks.

– William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 2. Using a simile, Romeo says that a lover goes towards his beloved with the same eagerness as a schoolboy leaving his books. When a lover has to depart from his beloved, they are as miserable as the schoolboy having to go to school. This shows the depth of Romeo’s passion for Juliet and his desire to be with her all the time.
