Thy head is as full of quarrels as an egg is full of meat.

– William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet, Act 3, Scene 1. Mercutio accuses Benvolio of being bad tempered and easily starting rows. His use of a simile saying that Benvolio’s head is as full of quarrels as an egg is of yolk, turns out to be ironic. In this scene it is the hot-tempered Mercutio who gets into a fight and is killed. This passage helps to build up the mood of tension in the scene.
