Romeo and Juliet, Act 1, Scene 5. Romeo prays that Juliet will allow him to kiss her. Otherwise his faith will turn into despair. In two metaphors he compares Juliet to a saint and her kiss to a prayer. They are playing a kind of love-game here, as they work up to their first kiss.
