Romeo and Juliet, Act 5, Scene 3. After seeing her daughter Juliet lying dead in a tomb, Lady Capulet is reminded of her own coming old age and eventual demise. She uses a grim simile to compare this sight of death to the funeral bell summoning her to her own funeral.
