Romeo and Juliet, Act 5, Scene 3. Romeo imagines Juliet’s beauty illuminating the darkness of the Capulet tomb. This is rather ironic, because Juliet’s light and life have not yet been extinguished. Having taken a potion she is merely in a deep sleep that mimics death.
