Heaven and yourself
Had part in this fair maid; now heaven hath all,
And all the better is it for the maid.

– William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet, Act 4, Scene 5. Friar Laurence attempts to comfort the Capulet family and Paris, who cannot come to terms with the senselessness of Juliet’s apparent death. He reminds them of the teachings of their religious faith and assures them that Juliet is now in a better place in heaven. The Friar’s words foreshadow that Juliet, who is feigning death after taking the Friar’s sleeping potion, will not be very long for this world.
