– William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet, Act 3, Scene 3. As Romeo lies weeping on the floor, complaining that his banishment is worse than death, the Nurse give him some of her own home-spun philosophy. Everything ends in death, she says. She foreshadows the play’s tragic ending, when the two lovers take their lives and end the feud between their warring families.
