Romeo and Juliet, Act 1, Scene 1. Benvolio, in telling Lady Montague where Romeo is, personifies the sun and uses a metaphor to compare the east to a golden window. Lady Montague had asked Benvolio the whereabouts of her son, relieved that he had not been in the fight earlier: “O, where is Romeo? saw you him to-day? Right glad I am he was not at this fray.”
