Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 5. The Nurse tells Juliet that she has been doing the hard work up to now, like fetching the ladder for Romeo to use to climb up to Juliet’s bedroom. But Juliet will be doing the work that night in bed. This is the Nurse’s witty reference to Juliet having sex with her new husband.
