Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 5. When Juliet pleads for news from Romeo, the Nurse avoids giving an a direct answer and teases her. Instead she complains how tired she is after her journey. Here the Nurse is used for comic relief, to reduce the tension in an otherwise serious and tragic play.
