Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 5. This is a mythological allusion to Venus, goddess of love, carried in her chariot by doves that have the wings of Cupid, Roman god of desire and love. Juliet is anxiously waiting in the Capulet orchard for news from her love Romeo to be delivered by her Nurse.
