Hist! Romeo, hist! O, for a falconer’s voice,
To lure this tassel-gentle back again!

– William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 2. Using metaphors, Juliet imagines Romeo as a tame falcon and herself a falconer controlling him, when she quietly calls out to him. She has just returned to the balcony after apparently getting rid of the Nurse. She is speaking in a low voice so that their forbidden relationship won’t be discovered.
