The Picture of Dorian Gray, Chapter 13. Dorian has just unveiled his portrait to Basil in the attic. Basil is horrified to see the aged and corrupt face of Dorian in it, saying it has the eyes of a devil. Dorian says it is the face of his soul and in despair tries to explain that all of us have good and evil inside us.
