Othello, Act 4, Scene 1. Othello has become like putty in Iago’s hands. When Cassio laughs at some remark Iago makes about Bianca, Othello thinks that the conversation is about Desdemona. Othello’s jealousy grows, as reality and the appearance of things grow further and further apart for him.
