A horned man’s a monster and a beast.

– William Shakespeare

Othello, Act 4, Scene 1. Using an animal metaphor, Othello tells Iago that Desdemona’s infidelity has transformed him into a cuckold and a monstrous beast. His pride wounded, Othello feels less than a man and emasculated by his wife’s alleged cheating with another man. The reference to monsters and beasts shows the deteriorating state of Othello’s mind.
