Othello, Act 3, Scene 4. Cassio makes this special plea to Desdemona as he describes his love for and loyalty to Othello as his lieutenant. He begs her to intercede for him so that he may win her husband’s forgiveness. He is hoping that Othello will restore him to the position he was dismissed from because of his past service.
