Othello, Act 3, Scene 3. Iago uses vivid bestial imagery to fuel Othello’s imagination and anger, as he tricks him into thinking that his wife is having sexual intercourse with Cassio. After Othello demands proof of his suspicions, Iago in a series of crude similes compares the copulating Cassio and Desdemona to a pair of lustful fornicating animals.
