Othello, Act 3, Scene 1. Cassio believes that meeting alone with Desdemona will allow him seek her aid in restoring himself to Othello’s favor. But little does he realize that such a meeting will later be used to falsely accuse him of having an affair with Desdemona. He is walking straight into Iago’s trap.
