Othello, Act 3, Scene 1. Iago promises Cassio that he will get Othello out of the way so that Cassio can speak privately with Desdemona. While appearing to help Cassio get his job back, he is in reality manipulating him to make it seem that there is a romantic relationship between Cassio and Desdemona.
