Othello, Act 3, Scene 1. As this scene opens, Cassio is trying to undo the damage he did to his reputation in Act 2, when he got drunk and became embroiled in a brawl. In an effort to win Othello’s favor, Cassio arranges for musicians to play music beneath Othello’s window.
