I grant him bloody,
Luxurious, avaricious, false, deceitful,
Sudden, malicious, smacking of every sin
That has a name.

– William Shakespeare

Macbeth, Act 4, Scene 3. Malcolm, in enumerating Macbeth’s list of evil character traits to MacDuff, certainly doesn’t leave much out. Macbeth is accused of commiting “every sin That has a name” from bloody violence to lechery to avarice to deceit. This suggests that Macbeth is committing crimes against God as well as the people.
