Macbeth, Act 4, Scene 2. The First Murderer insultingly calls Macduff’s son the “young fry” of a traitor, as he plunges his knife into him. The killing of the innocent child shows how Macbeth’s reign of tyranny has descended to a whole new low level of depravity.
