King Lear, Act 1, Scene 4. Goneril, with whom Lear is now living, confronts her father about what she says are his knights’ rude behavior, quarreling and riotous conduct in her home. She also complains about the insolence of his Fool. She demands action on the disrespectful behavior of Lear’s entourage.
