O villain, villain! His very opinion in the letter. Unnatural, detested, brutish villain! Worse than brutish! Go, sirrah, seek him; I’ll apprehend him: abominable villain! Where is he?

– William Shakespeare

King Lear, Act 1, Scene 2. Gloucester labels son and heir Edgar an unnatural, brutish and abominable villain and demands to know where he is. But he is too hasty to fall for the manipulating Edmund’s deception and lies, which he swallows hook, line and sinker. So Gloucester plays the blind fool and condemns his true son Edgar without ever giving him a chance to defend himself. So much for Gloucester family justice!
