King Lear, Act 1, Scene 1. As Cordelia prepares to leave court with the King of France, she expresses her concern to Regan and Goneril at how they will treat her father. She warns them to treat him well. This shows that Cordelia still cares for Lear, despite his cruel treatment of her. Cordelia is never afraid to speak the truth.
