But Pip has already made up his mind that he has Miss Havisham to thank for his good fortune. Pip has deceived himself into believing that the upper class Miss Havisham has taken a great interest in him, wishes to make him a gentleman and is his new benefactor. But the irony is that the convict Magwitch will be revealed to be his mysterious patron.
