Eminem remarries childhood sweetheart Kimberley

"This day I will marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, love."

This is what rapper Eminem wrote on the invitation card to his wedding to his ex-wife Kim on January 14, 2006, according to America's Star magazine.

Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers III - once rapped about killing his ex. But love was in the air when he remarried Kimberley Scott at a private ceremony in Meadow Brook Hall, Rochester Hills, Michegan.

Wearing a black suit, the rapper walked up the aisle to the piano line of his song 'Mockingbird,' performed by Luis Resto, who has co-written several of Eminem's biggest hits. The bride wore white.

Best man Rapper Proof spoke of the couple's happiness in his short speech.

A galaxy of hip-hop stars turned up to celebrate their nuptials, including 50 Cent group G-Unit, D12 and DJ Lord Sear.

The couple's 10-year-old daughter Hailie Jade was flower girl at the wedding ceremony. Kim also has a two-year old daughter named Whitney, from another relationship.

The couple, who were childhood sweethearts, remarried five years after they went through a bitter divorce.

The rap star first married Kim in 1999 when his career was beginning to take off, but filed for divorce 14 months later.

Following their break-up, Kim was in and out of rehab as she battled a cocaine addiction. Eminem checked into a drug treatment program during 2005 to deal with his own sleeping pills addiction.

The rap star slandered Kim in song lyrics, fantasizing about her death and blasting her troubled lifestyle before he was reconciled with her again in 2004.
