October 29, 2008:
Allgreatquotes.com visitors vote overwhelmingly for Obama as 44th US President

Barack Obama, the first African American to be nominated by a major political party for US president, is the number 1 favorite of allgreatquotes.com visitors.

We took soundings on our popular quotations website on the popularity of Obama vs McCain in the week before the US presidential election.

The Harvard Law School graduate and Demodratic Senator from Illinois came way ahead of his Republican rival.

The most searched words on allgreatquotes.com are 'obama quotes', followed closely by 'barack obama quotes' at number 2.

They come ahead of the next most popular searches, 'quotes about life' (No 3), 'life quotes' (No 4), 'girl quotes' (No 5) and 'winnie the pooh quotes' (No 6).

Poor old 'john mccain quotes' struggled in at number 7th place in the top search rankings.

Searches for 'Obama' outnumbered those for 'McCain' by nearly three-to-one - there are 1369 for Obama daily for 492 for McCain.

And in a single day we registered 3,292 page views for Obama quotes, compared to 923 for McCain quotes.

"Obama is by far the more popular choice for US president among our discerning visitors," said Tom Corr, owner of allgreatquotes.com.

He added that the world, particulary American friends in Europe, would welcome a change to the people who have been mismanaging American foreign policy and the economy for the eight years of the Bush administration.

Allgreatquotes.com is a European and Irish-based site.
